There have been many but he was one of the few… I have been very lucky to have three “mentors” that helped shape my life. From being in High School, I was taken in and shown “the ropes”. From business, entertainment, marketing… to loyalty and how to handle the “up” side as well as the “down” side. His mind was always in motion, thinking ahead, thinking outside the box… and everything I am today, I owe in a large part to this man.
From the Super Skating Centers in the 70’s & 80’s… to the creation of Hot Wheels in the 80’s and 90’s… he spent his spare time buying as many 727’s, 747’s as he could!
Life is always “too short” but he did live it.
Thankfully, I did have the opportunity to award him and his partner in crime, Stuart Cauff, both “Lifetime Achievement Awards” for creating roller skating as we know it here in South Florida. He lived life, and because of him, many of us live life
